Am I right?

Today Kiah and I were riding in the car. I don't even remember what we were talking about. Kiah made a statement and then said

Kiah: Am I right, or am I right?

I thought this was so fun.

Luna: Where did you learn that?
Kiah: Clifford, the Big Red Dog

Book report

I know this isn't from one of the kids, but it is still so funny, at least to us.

On Sunday night as we were going to bed Chris and I were lamenting about how awful the night before was and how much we DID NOT want an encore. It was then that Chris told me he had trouble getting back to sleep. I suggested that he should have read a book.

Luna: You should have read a book.
Chris: I did.
Luna: Which book? (I knew what was in the area where he was trying to sleep. They are my books, so I thought it would be a parenting book, or "Shopaholic Ties the Knot." None of the books would have been of much interest to Chris, so I was amused he had to read one of those books.)
Chris: "Color Kittens"

I laughed so hard. I think it was the second hardest I have ever laugh at Chris. The first being before we were married and we were sitting around my apartment with a bunch of roommates and friends talking about a school assignment I had to provide group therapy regarding dating for Young Single Adults. During the wrap-up discussion Chris announced he was "Keen." I know it isn't funny now, but the entire room laughed for quite some time. We have no idea why either.

Well, last night I laughed just as hard. I know many of you are not familiar with "Color Kittens." It is by the same author who wrote the riveting book "Good Night Moon." YES! it is a Golden Book.

Chris: Well, I had never read it before
Luna: What did you think (btw, this half of the conversation was MUCH later and I was still choking back laughter)
Chris: it isn't as good as "Good Night Moon"

Mexican Food

We decided to go out to dinner last night. As I was trying to figure out where to go I began to ask everyone what they would agree to. Kiah actually said she wanted Mexican food. She REALLY wanted Mexican food, because when we tried to switch to something else she got very upset. She said she wanted some rice and beans. Alright, whatever!

So we got to the restaurant and they brought us some chips and salsa. Kiah put some chips in a small bowl for herself them proceeded to get the salt. The girl LOVES salt, but she over did it this time. I didn't notice until it was too late. When i looked over at her bowl it look like winter in her bowl. All her chips were covered with a salty snowfall.

Luna: That is enough. In fact, it is too much.
Kiah tried a salty chip.
Kiah: I don't like Mexican salt.

Symbols

Chris and I had gone to the Temple earlier that day and Kiah was asking up what we did at the Temple.

Luna: Well, we wore all white.
Kiah: No, you wore black. (I was wearing a black dress when I left the house)
Luna: You're right, I was wearing black, but I changed my clothes when I got there.
Kiah: Why?
Luna: White is a symbol of being clean, like Heavenly Father, and being good.
Kiah: I have a Symbol, Look!
I turned to see her slam her hands together
Kiah: Crash!

Luna: (laughing) Very good. That is a different Cymbal.

Don't eat it

As I am helping SweetPea wipe after visiting the potty (Not my favorite mommy Job!)

Kiah: Mom, do you like my poop?
Luna: um..
Kiah: Do you LIKE my poop?
Luna (trying to be encouraging, without grossing myself out at the thought of liking feces): yeah, sure.
Kiah: Don't eat it!

Knock, Knock

Eli has learned how to tell a joke...kinda. To tell you the truth it is hard to understand just about everything he says. But since he got the tubes in his ears it seems to be improving. I guess there was a smallbinky set back, I think the surgery scared him pretty badly so he wouldn't let go of it for 2 weeks. Now his is afraid of it, I convinced him it is only for sleeping, so he runs in fear now when I offer it.

But he started to tell jokes. I am not sure he realizes it, but it made us laugh and we truly understood all he was saying.

Eli: Knock, Knock
Luna: Who's there?
Eli: (very proudly and excited) ME!

we all started laughing. Mainly because I wasn't expecting an answer. So getting one is where the humor lies.

Here is the best video of it I can get so far. It was like pulling teeth to get this much, I hope to get a better one soon.

A Name?

On her way into the bathroom

Kiah: what's my poop's name?
