Luna: Don't let it burn a hole.

They go in the water
Eli was talking about animals that are awake at night.
Eli: I know the names of animals that are awake at night! (he listed several, but I can't remember them all.)
Luna: Do you know what you call animals that are awake at night?
Eli: No
Luna: Nocturnal. Can you say nocturnal? (both Anna and Eli said it)
Anna: They go in the water.
(I was a little confused at that point... but it all became very clear)
Anna: NotTurtles go in the water.

Cheese
Annalise asked for a snack. She took me to the fridge and opened it and pointed to the cheese drawer.
Luna: Do you want a cheesestick?
Annalise: Mom, it's not a cheesestick. It is cheese. Sticks are outside.

to punch or to hit... that is the question
Kiah: mom, Eli punched me!
Me: Eli, there is no reason you should ever hit another person.
Eli: I didn't hit her... I punched her.
I followed it up with -
Me: a punch is a type of hit.
Eli: oh.

Anna's first Primary talk
Anna was asked to give a talk in Primary. It was her first talk. Of course, I knew this was NEVER going to happen! Anna is so incredible shy. She always has been. So I was surprised when she walked up to the podium and stood at the microphone. But my little girl did not prove me a liar. As Chris began to encourage her and feed her lines she hid her face and turned to her side unwilling to make a peep.
So they asked Chris to give the talk. He did such a nice job. It was his first Primary talk in YEARS!
