Mock Pecan Pie

At a recent progressive dinner I was asked to provide dessert.  I had been wanting to make a Mock Pecan Pie recipe I found.  So I did.  it used pinto beans instead of pecans.  So the day before I cooked the beans and made the crust.  But the day of the event I had a meeting right before the dinner, so I had Chris make the pie.  I mentioned to him that he would need to measure out the beans and make the filling.  Apparently he didn't hear me because he used all the beans.  Probably at least double what it should have been.  The pie tasted fine, it was just a bit dry.  In the car on the way home we had this conversation

Luna:  So the pie was pretty good, don't you think?
Chris: I didn't try any.
Luna: Why not?  You have to try at least a bite when we get home.
Chris: I don't like pecan pie.
Luna: I am surprised by that, since you like German Chocolate Cake.
Chris: I don't like pie....except pumpkin, and chocolate.
            ....and coconut        
           ....and key lime
           ....and banana cream
By this point I was laughing so hard!
